Chopin’s music in the Polish Pavilion

Tomorrow we will welcome another talented pianist in the Polish Pavilion. For the next week Chopin’s music will be presented for our visitors by Adam Mikołaj Goździewski.


Adam Mikołaj Goździewski attended the State Primary School of Music in Skierniewice, where his piano teacher was Anna Grzegorkiewicz-Ciesielska. Currently he is a student at Zenon Brzewski Secondary School of Music in Warsaw, in the piano class of Professor Joanna Ławrynowicz and the chamber music class of Professor Krystyna Makowska-Ławrynowicz.

He has won a number of prizes at the prestigious piano competitions in Poland, Ukraine, Russia (Tomsk, 1st prize, 2013), Italy (Barletta, Grand Prix and Gold Medal, 2011), Slovenia (Radovljica, 3rd Prize and special prize for the best performance of Mazurka, 2014), Macedonia (Ohrid, Grand Prix and Golden Plaque, 2014) and Estonia (Narva, Grand Prix, EMCY Prize, NFCI Award, 2014).

He has performed in many prestigious concert halls in Poland and abroad, including the Warsaw Philharmonic, Łódź Philharmonic, Tallinn Philharmonic (Estonia), Żelazowa Wola, the Royal Castle in Warsaw, headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organisation in Geneve (Switzerland) and Robert Schumann Hochschule in Duesseldorf (Germany). Adam Goździewski performed recitals at the most important piano festivals in Poland, France, Austria and Norway, including 66th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Festival in Duszniki-Zdrój, Chopin Festival in der Kartause in Gaming, Unge Talenter Festival w Drøbak, Oslo, 32e Chopin Festival in Paris.

He is broadening his musical experience with chamber music, harpsichord and historical piano. Adam Mikołaj Goździewski has been awarded grants by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Director of the Centre for Artistic Education and the National Children’s Fund.
